The scream

The Window présente: performance et projection vidéo The Scream
le 27 juillet 2013 à 19h
1, rue Gustave Goublier 75010
Entrée libre

The Scream is an exhibition featuring performance by Elizabeth Ophelia Alice Rose (Central Saint Martins) and sculpture by Eleanor Flynn (Goldsmith’s), two sisters who both have studied fine art in London.
The Scream is a human sound that expresses and releases a very strong emotion. It is the letting go of sadness, horror, shock, fear or desperation but it is also a cathartic experience that everyone is familiar with.
The dance and poetry based performance that intertwines contemporary dance with yoga and mime. It will represent the human state of alienation and desperation but will also act as a therapy with periods of ecstasy and joy. The scream is in a way a celebration of life.
The soundtrack has been specially scored by London based producer Alex Wolf (Post Religion) and will create a wall of discordant sound with empty spaces of silence.
Eleanor will also be making sculptures specially for the exhibition using everyday objects and magazines to create haunting puppets with contorted frames.
We would also like to welcome anybody who wants to share poetry or music with us during the course of the evening.
An aperitif will be served.
We hope you can join us.
